PALAESTRA, une danse de la lutte

Accompagnement dramaturgique de Françoise Berlanger

Dans le cadre de ma résidence de recherche en danse, avec le soutien du BAMP, je propose un laboratoire chorégraphique autour de la thématique de la lutte, qu'elle soit intime ou sociale.
Dans cette recherche, je fusionne ma démarche somatique en lien avec des pratiques de combat. Le langage corporel sera intense et engageant, profond et endurant, laissant surgir des mémoires collectives de lutte.

L'intention de ce lab est de préparer le terrain d'une future création et de rencontrer de possible partenaires de lutte !

* Pourquoi Palaestra?
Selon la mythologie, Palaestra était la fille d'Hermès, déesse de la lutte, ayant inventé cet art pour divertir les individus en temps de paix. Elle-même était considérée comme une lutteuse qualifiée à l’allure androgyne. Dans ce projet, Palaestra devient un symbole de puissance et de lutte féminine, transcendant des codes réservés à la gente masculine.

* Pour quel public ?
L'appel s'ouvre aux femmes et à toute personne s'identifiant comme femme qui pratiquent des sports de combats, aux danseuses et performeuses dans une démarche corporelle transformative.

PALAESTRA, a dance of struggle

As part of my dance research residency, supported by BAMP, I am offering a choreographic laboratory focused on the theme of struggle, whether intimate or social.
In this research, I blend my somatic approach with combat practices. The bodily language will be intense and engaging, deep and enduring, allowing collective memories of struggle to emerge.

The intention of this lab is to lay the groundwork for a future creation and to meet potential partners for the struggle!

* Why Palaestra?

According to mythology, Palaestra was the daughter of Hermes, the goddess of wrestling, who invented the art of wrestling to entertain people during times of peace. She herself was considered a skilled wrestler with an androgynous appearance. In this project, Palaestra becomes a symbol of strength and female struggle, transcending codes typically reserved for the male gender.

* Who is this for?
The call is open to women and anyone identifying as a woman who practices combat sports, as well as dancers and performers engaged in a transformative bodily approach.
